“Finally,
a speaker who connects well with all students, from the general
student population to Greek life and athletics. Mark is the
most refreshing new voice in college programming"

When you bring Mark Dawson to speak you get a
speaker unlike most “college speakers” or
school speaker. Mark is not a career academic or a student
turned speaker like many of the “experts” and “speakers”
students and educators have experienced. He is very real and his
broad base of life, business and athletic experiences add to his
keen ability to relate to people of all ages and all walks of
life. Mark has an ability to capture the attention and respect
from audiences like few other “college speakers” can, especially
when talking to all male groups, fraternities and student
athletes. He is a proven leader and “influencer” with an
extensive and diverse background guaranteed to leave a lasting
impression. |

Getting To YES
Addressing issues, challenges, and solutions regarding
safe
dating, safety, consent, communication, respect and sexual assault
awareness.
Sales 101 says, “To sell yourself (or products or
services) you must get the prospect saying yes”. Getting To YES
is an entertaining, fun and inspiring program that leaves the audience
with a whole new way of looking at and approaching dating, healthy
relationships, sexual assault and consent. This is not your typical
program on sexual assault awareness and prevention or your typical
speaker. Mark does not see sexual assault as a “women’s” issue or a
man against woman issue. His approach is NOT to tell an audience what
NOT to do as so many programs do, especially to male audiences. Mark’s
approach is positive and refreshing. He will have the audience laughing
one minute then hanging on every word the next as he shares personal
dating stories, being in relationships with survivors of sexual assault
and talks about how students can have more fun dating, healthy dating,
prevent sexual assault, offer support for survivors and provide specific
information about how to help a friend, girlfriend, sister etc.
In Getting To YES Mark openly and honestly addresses
issues of:
▪Consent
▪Communication
▪Body language and mixed signals
▪Respect
▪Personal responsibility
▪Sex under the influence
▪Date rape drugs
▪The dating race (“game”)
▪Sexual assault
▪How to help survivors
▪Bystander intervention
▪and much more.
Mark empowers
students with the knowledge, tools and desire to date safer, help keep
women in there lives safe and make their campus a safer place while also
gaining skills to practice healthier dating behaviors, how to ask first
and the difference it can make, increased awareness, responsibility and
communication in their own lives while discovering new and fun
approaches to dating and intimacy.
This program is
perfect for any type of student programming and can be customized to
meet your specific needs.

"Can
you hear me now?"™
Bringing clarity and “reception” to your relationships
(a communication and leadership program)
Can you hear me now?
We hear people say that quite often when on a cell phone. The
cause is often a bad connection or bad signal. The same is true
of many of our relationships. If you want to learn how to
improve your relationships, connect better with people and
enhance your ability to influence and lead others this program
is for you. Too often we live by what some call the Golden
Rule, “Treat people how you want to be treated.” Well that’s
the problem, the real magic is to treat people the way THEY want
to be treated. Hundreds of years of research has shown that
people’s personalities fall into four major categories and once
you figure out what categories people in your life fit into, its
possible to understand everything about them and how to speak
and interact with different people in THEIR language. Mark will
explore human behavior in a scientifically proven program that
will help you learn how to bring your “A” game to any school
function, meeting, team and even to the bar on Friday night.
This program is an entertaining approach to exploring your
personality and discovering the most effective way to
communicate and relate with others.
